Project
Single-storey elevation of 10 stairwells in 2 buildings, creating 30 new modern apartments in the Grand Montfleury district of Versoix (GE). The majority of the apartments enjoy magnificent views of Lake Geneva.
Solution
The Alpenda team proposed a wooden elevation with a central concrete core. The natural anodized aluminum-cobond façade, combined with the natural anodized wood-metal elements, blends harmoniously with the existing building.
Special features
The project presented a number of challenges. The work, carried out on an occupied site, included replacing the existing elevators and creating new staircases.
Roof-mounted heat pumps, double-flux monoblocs and photovoltaic panels make the apartments energy self-sufficient.
